About Us
Welcome to Samarpan, a distinguished performing arts organisation based in Cardiff, UK, devoted to preserving and celebrating the timeless beauty of Indian classical arts. Founded in 2017 by the esteemed artists and educators Dr. Leena Menon and Dr. Santosh Nair, Samarpan began as a Bharatanatyam dance school offering high-caliber training in this ancient art form. Over the years, it has flourished into a dynamic cultural institution, seamlessly blending the disciplines of dance and music to create a holistic and enriching artistic experience.

Guided by the core pillars of performance, learning, and outreach, Samarpan is dedicated to promoting Indian art and culture across South Wales. Our mission is to provide a nurturing space where creativity flourishes, traditions are cherished, and the joy of artistic expression is shared with diverse communities. Samarpan aspires to not only preserve the essence of Indian classical arts but to also bring their universal resonance to contemporary audiences.

Our Vision
At Samarpan, our vision is elegantly encapsulated in our guiding motto: Preserve, Inspire, Nurture.

We are committed to preserving the rich heritage of Indian classical dance and music, ensuring its legacy endures for generations to come. We seek to inspire individuals and communities alike by unveiling the profound beauty, depth, and spirituality of these art forms, transcending cultural and linguistic boundaries. Above all, we endeavor to nurture future artists and enthusiasts, empowering them to carry forward these timeless traditions with creativity and excellence.
Samarpan envisions a world where the arts serve as a bridge, uniting people and ideas while celebrating diversity. Our aspiration is to establish ourselves as a leading cultural institution in Wales, illuminating the global relevance of Indian classical arts and fostering a legacy of creativity, inclusion, and connection.

We invite you to join us on this journey as we honor the past, enrich the present, and inspire the future through the transformative power of music and dance.
